We Love To Make You Smile!
Judy has been a part of the team since 2012. She strives to make sure you are taken care of and leave with a smile. Born and raised in Alaska, outside of work you can find her traveling, working out, downhill skiing, trying new foods, or writing. She lives on the other side of the street from her sister-in-law Joanne.
Jocelyn was born in the Philippines and moved to Alaska in 1988. She began working in the dental field in 1997 and joined the team in June 2000. “It’s been a pleasure to work with Dr. Bliss as he makes our office a great place to be, and it feels like home”, stated Jocelyn. She loves to eat, go swimming, walk to the park, play badminton, and spend time with family and friends.
Joanne started to work with Dr. Bliss in 2011, soon after graduating from UAA with an Associate degree in Applied Sciences. She finds it rewarding being able to help patients confidently smile, while making their experience here as comfortable as possible. Joanne was born and raised in Alaska, finding beauty in nature throughout the year. She enjoys her free time going to the gym, traveling, baking, eating, and spending time with her husband and dog Riley.
Jaci grew up in Soldotna, Alaska and moved to Anchorage to attend the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she received two degrees; one in Dental Assisting, and the other in Dental Hygiene. If Jaci is not helping people feel happier and healthier about their smile, she is outside. She enjoys all things Alaskan, from hunting and picking berries in the fall, to back country skiing in the winter. One of her main goals as a hygienist is to genuinely connect with patients and make each visit as enjoyable, educational, and comfortable as possible.
Dr. Bliss first came to Alaska in the summer of 1963. Born and educated in Washington state until he graduated from high school, he graduated from the University of Washington Dental School in 1978. He took the state licensing boards in both Washington and Alaska, and began practicing dentistry in Anchorage, Alaska in 1981.
Since returning to Alaska he has done the typical things Alaskans do, including hunting, fishing, boating, flying, and basically living lives people in other parts of the country might envy. His emphasis has not been to get wealthy and retire, but to work for as long as he can in a career that he loves, where he can help patients at a pace where he doesn’t feel the need to rush. His office and staff strive to give the best care possible, in a comfortable family environment, while staying current with the latest technologies for the benefit their patients.
